Intact Womanhood: Getting Older With Grace

Getting Older with Grace-Chispa MagazineIt’s never fun, getting old and seeing your beauty slowly but surely fade year after year. It’s just a part of life, something that cannot be stopped, unfortunately. But, and it’s a big but, it can be weathered. Going beyond the half-century mark doesn’t mean you should throw in the towel; far from it. There are some ways you can hold onto your womanhood for a lot longer, but they require you to make the extra effort. Not many women choose this route as they have far too busy lives and as they get older, they’d figure they would worry less not more. But the physical hassle isn’t always bothered; it should be something of a goal to achieve. Beauty doesn’t come cheap, whether that be currency or real-world effort on your part.

Managing face wrinkles. First things first, you cannot ever replace the need for a good night’s sleep. As you get older wrinkles start to set into their grooves, literally. Your face has many muscles in it, and as they move they create or carve lines into your skin. Eventually over time, these lines will get a little deeper and more stuck in their ways. This leads to sagging and or wrinkles forming quicker in certain parts of your face, namely the eyes, nose and mouth. Getting a good night sleep allows the body to repair collagen that is the structure of the skin. A good moisturizing night routine for the face with natural ingredients also would fight back the signs of ageing.

Curves that stay. Women are naturally curvy creatures. This isn’t just because of the skeletal structure that has a wider hip area as compared to men. It’s also because on average, women have 13 percent more fat in their body than men. This is a stopgap measure the body takes in case of the need for children. Yet over time, your curves will begin to soften out, and your shape will become straighter and slender. If you watch videos about plastic surgery, you’ll see how far technologies and practices have come. There’s no need to go under the knife if you want a butt lift now. One of the non-surgical methods is sculptra. It uses a synthetic injectable filler than maintains the shape of muscle and fat of the area. Even if you workout, sometimes the fiber and cells of your body cannot maintain rigidity the older you get. This is one way you can, however, have curves that stay for longer.

Sagging skin on limbs. We’ve all heard of the bingo-wings term which isn’t that flattering. Yet there’s no point in veering away from the matter just because it’s uncomfortable. The more mature you are, the more likely you are to have sagging skin on your limbs. Your arms and legs will begin to show their age, and it’s not a matter of if but when. Vitamin E is a large component of your skin, and it’s what helps to give it a youthful appearance. By eating more vitamin e heavy foods such as lean beef and animal-based proteins your skin can replenish its stock. The use of moisturizing creams should be substituted for ointments instead as they penetrate deeper into the skin cells.

It’s a very sensitive topic, but womanhood matters all throughout life. It doesn’t matter if you were once a shy teenager and then found confidence in your later life, body-image is something that can harm your confidence later on in life too. Getting older with grace isn’t just a far-flung dream.
