You Only Get Married Once; How to Nail Your Big Day

Wedding-Chispa MagazineWhen you have found the one, everything can feel right in the world. You feel happy, both with your partner and with yourself. In fact, you have never loved who you are more than when you are with them. You love them for their flaws, for their strengths, for how they can make you laugh, and how they love you as you love them. When you have found the one, you truly do understand what it means to be with someone for better or worse, because you have stuck by them through thick and thin. When the time finally comes to get married, you want to make your big day special. To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Budget

The first step that anyone should do when they are planning a wedding is to budget. Not budgeting, or not keeping to your budget, can truly start your new lives together on the wrong note. That is why you should go through and get your money and budget sorted beforehand. You can have a beautiful wedding whether your budget is $2000 or $20,000. You just need to be creative, resourceful, and have the wedding for you.

  1. Opt for Packages

Once you have your budget, it’s time to choose the venue. The venue will likely be the largest portion of your budget, as well as the portion that is most time sensitive. As such, it’s important to hire the venue as soon as possible. To save yourself headache, and in many cases money as well, opt for venues that offer packages. This means that not only can you hire the venue out, but you can have the ceremony, reception, catering and wedding planning all sorted. You can do this anywhere, even at these beautiful wedding venues in London.

  1. Narrow Down the Guest List

Unless you know beforehand that you will be hiring a substantial number of guests and need a venue that can hold them. For most, it’s easier to hire the venue, and then decide if your guests can bring a plus one or not. It’s also much more economical.

  1. Dresses

Your wedding dress can be a relative’s, it could be second-hand (used only once!) it could be new from a boutique, or it could be a creation of your own imagination. Either way, stick to your own budget. You will find the perfect wedding dress, you just need to be patient.

  1. Party Ideas

With your wedding sorted with the help of your wedding venue’s provided wedding planner, all that’s left are the personal touches that will make your big day, yours. Create centerpieces that reflect you and your spouse-to-be, have a shared album set up so that all your friends and family can put the wedding photos in one place. Have games to play when you’re drunk and silly. There are so many ways to make your reception and celebration yours.

Weddings act as some the biggest parties we will ever attend. They are fun, they are memorable, and they are celebrating your love for each other.
