There has been many a tumultuous divorce in Hollywood. We only need to look at the recent Johnny Depp and Amber Heard saga to see how out of control La La Land can be. But, there are also some celebrity couples that have had amicable divorces. So much so, they have become much better friends than they were partners. This is especially crucial when children are involved.
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore
If it’s possible to have a ’favorite’ divorced couple, then Bruce Willis and Demi Moore would be it. The action hero and Hollywood actress divorced in 2000 after thirteen years of marriage and three daughters. They remain great friends and are often seen together at events, supporting their daughters. Bruce went on to marry Emma and has two young children with her. Demi famously had a long relationship with Ashton Kutcher but they later split. However, throughout that time, the ex’s and their new partner were often seen together. These two have provided the best upbringing for their children by remaining close friends. They always show up united for their kids.
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow
If your marriage has ended and you are ready to hire a divorce attorney you are probably feeling overwhelmed, anxious and frustrated. But take note of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin who publicly ‘consciously uncoupled’ in 2014 while on holiday together. Gwyneth posted the announcement on her Goop blog. The ex-couple are raising children Moses and Apple together. They officially divorced this year but continue to go on exotic family holidays together to provide a stable unit for their children. Gwyneth is also often seen at Chris’s concerts supporting him and her children as a family. Gwyneth has spoken about the difficulty of putting aside all the emotions that come with divorce. But she has also said that she has made a commitment to her children and to Chris that will last a lifetime, even if it’s now non-romantic.
Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall
There was much furor in the divorce proceedings between model Jerry Hall and Rolling Stone Mick Jagger. He claimed they were never legally married. It was stated that their 1990 Hindu wedding in Indonesia was never made official. However, Hall spent 21 years with Jagger, and the couple has four children. During that time Hall infamously also befriended Mick’s other exes and made his previous children a part of her family. Now it’s all in the past, and Jerry and Mick have a longstanding friendship. They are often seen out together with many of their children and Hall regularly spends time with her step children. Both of Mick’s exes, Marsha Hunt and Bianca Jagger attended Jerry’s recent wedding to Rupert Murdoch. So did her stepdaughters Jade Jagger and Karis. Jerry Hall has never bad-mouthed her ex in public. She has also been noted by her step children as being an incredible support and friend throughout their lives.
